Life imitates art. Object imitates dance.
Masterwork for Six Dancers unfolds in a series of vignettes inspired by Bauhaus philosophy and the iconic Triadic Ballet, exploring how bodies gradually release the cultural symbols and societal meanings imposed on them. Through objects used as costumes - restrictive elements that infuse movements with a mechanical quality - the body negotiates its autonomy amid a series of functional obstacles. Movement slips between the concrete and abstract, becoming a fluid choreography where each body emerges as a masterpiece in itself, shaped by its interactions with the environment.
By “objectifying” the body, extending it into the space, and submitting it to its surroundings, a paradoxical freedom arises - one that is both deeply autonomous and intricately tied to the artifice of art. In this entanglement of self and space, art and body meet in a unique expression of liberated movement.
