FINGERSIX
Sofia Mavragani is a choreographer and director whose work explores the intersection of dance, voice, and socio-political contexts. Known for blending dance with music, theatre, and visual arts, her creations have been showcased at international festivals and unconventional venues, including FIBA 2023 (Buenos Aires), Athens Epidaurus Festival, Documenta14, Kalamata International Dance Festival, and even unique spaces like traditional cafes and strip clubs.
She is the creator of innovative educational programs such as BREAKING ART, IMPROject, and playforPLACE, realized in 17 cities across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Oceania. Her projects are supported by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and prominent institutions like Neimënster and Megaron: The Athens Concert Hall.
Mavragani is a founding member of the international art network FINGERSIX and its Athens-based dance company.
